As we move into level 4 lockdown the government has added some extra products that may be sold but it is still very restrictive on what is allowed (list below).
The good news is that the current regulations now note that future directions may permit the incremental expansion of e-commerce under level 4, taking into account the need to limit the extent of movement on the road, contact between people and other impacts on other businesses.
The government has not yet expended on this, hopefully in the comming week they will relax the regulations pertaining to ecommerce in level 4 as hinted in the current regulations.
This is the full list of items that can be sold currently at level 4:
Food products, including non-alcoholic beverages and pet food;

Dear Valued Customer,
In light of the President’s address and following on from recent communications from the government on COVID-19, I wanted to update you on the latest developments and in particular on the lockdown at midnight on Thursday 26th March.
During the period from 00:00 on the 27th March 2020 to 24:00 on the 16th April 2020 all non-essential businesses have to be closed and all courier companies will only be allowed to attend to deliveries permitted in terms of the regulations promulgated by the Republic of South Africa pertaining to the lock down period.
As part of the lockdown, courier services are heavily restricted in terms of the goods that they are allowed to carry, resulting in non-delivery of non-essential goods.
Essential goods currently defined are:
– Medical and hospital supplies.
– Hospital and medical equipment.
– Medication
– Health products
– Basic food supplies
– Agricultural products
– Veterinarian supplies
– Animal supplies
– Crucial automotive supplies
On collection a declaration has to be submitted with the parcel marking it as essential supplies of the above mentioned goods. It is a criminal offence to miss-represent what the parcel contains. Should the parcel be stopped for inspection and found not to contain essential supplies the authorities are permitted to confiscate the shipment and issue penalties. Both the sender and reciever can be held liable.
Our products do vaguely full under health products but most likely will be viewed as entertainment items and non-essential. We have however submitted a query regarding this and await feedback before parcels are booked for collection.
We are still working and all queries will be attended and orders processed however they will not be shipped out until we have obtained the necessary clarification or approval.
I will update this as soon as more information is available.
